Referee does a coin toss

The New England Patriots won the coin toss prior to the Super Bowl between them and the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., and Cooper Kupp’s selection had everyone saying the same thing.

Kupp was chosen by the Seahawks to make the pick for the pregame coin toss. He called tails — which lost since the coin turned up as heads. But many people thought they heard Kupp say heads.

What did you hear? He called tails, but it did sound like heads. Many people thought so and commented on it via X.

Didn't Cooper Kupp say Heads on the coin toss?

I could have sworn Cooper Kupp said tails.

Anyone else hear that?#SuperBowl pic.twitter.com/7BqpUxVzED

Did Cooper Kupp not say heads?

Am I tripping or did cooper Kupp for sure call heads?

The Patriots won the toss and deferred their choice to the second half. The Seahawks received the opening kickoff and ended up making a field goal for the first points of the big game.
