Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love got a somewhat unexpected reception while attending Friday’s FIFA World Cup match in Los Angeles.
Love was in the stands for the Spain-Belgium matchup at SoFi Stadium, and was shown on the big screen during a pause in play. The Packers quarterback was promptly booed loudly enough that it could be heard on the television broadcast, to his apparent amusement.

"The boos you're hearing in the background are because Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love was just shown on the screen."
One probably would not have anticipated Love getting such a harsh reaction in Los Angeles, mostly because one wouldn’t expect much of a reaction at all. On the other hand, the Packers tend to be a fairly polarizing team no matter where one might be.
Love does not have a lot of history with either the Rams or Chargers, SoFi’s two tenants. He did make a memorably bad play against the Rams two years ago, though.
Love threw for 3,381 yards with 23 touchdowns and six interceptions last season for the Packers. The boos just come with talent and recognition, it seems.
