Report: Joseph Randle threatened to kill deputy for denying him phone call
Former Dallas Cowboys running back Joseph Randle has gotten himself into trouble with the law on numerous occasions over the past two years, and you can now add threatening an officer to his rap sheet.
Randle had to appear in court back in June after he was accused of making a criminal threat against a jail officer the previous month. According to an arrest affidavit that was obtained by Amy Renee Leiker of The Wichita Eagle on Monday, the deputy said Randle threatened to kill him after the former NFL player was denied a phone call.
“I will kill you I swear on my life and everything that I have I will kill you when I get out,” Randle is accused of saying.
The deputy said Randle made the comment in a “very aggressive manner” and repeated it several times.
Randle is still in Sedgwick County Jail on a total of $50,000 in bonds stemming from a string of legal issues. The 24-year-old is awaiting trial for three cases, one of which allegedly involves hitting people with his car over a drinking game gone wrong. You can read a summary of his other arrests here.
Needless to say, Randle’s once-promising NFL career is almost certainly over.
