Josh Jacobs is facing charges stemming from his offseason arrest

Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs is facing multiple charges stemming from his May arrest.

Jacobs has been charged with misdemeanor battery and criminal damage to property by the Brown County, Wisc. District Attorney, according to Tom Pelissero of The Ringer. Those are reduced charges compared with what he faced upon his May arrest.

The Brown County District Attorney has formally charged Packers RB Josh Jacobs with two misdemeanors related to his May arrest.

Jacobs was originally arrested on a number of domestic violence charges, including one count of felony strangulation. A misdemeanor battery charge is significantly less serious.

Jacobs rushed for 1,329 yards in 2024 with 15 touchdowns, and he had 929 yards and 13 touchdowns this past year for Green Bay.

The NFL can take disciplinary action against Jacobs even if he does not face any further legal consequences from the situation. There is no timetable for that decision, and the league is still investigating.
