The New York Jets are in desperate need of a veteran quarterback, and the best option available could be Josh McCown.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Media is reporting that McCown is expected to visit with the Jets on Friday and Saturday.
Speaking of QBs… FA QB Josh McCown is on his way to #Jets, source said. He’s visiting with them today & tomorrow. Also has #Cowboys interest

As noted, McCown has also drawn interest from the Dallas Cowboys.
McCown will turn 38 this summer, so he certainly isn’t a long-term solution for any team. Ideally, he would be signed as a veteran backup. However, the Jets may need someone like McCown to start during a bridge year, as neither Christian Hackenberg nor Bryce Petty is ready to be a full-time NFL starter.
McCown appeared in 13 games for the Cleveland Browns over the past two seasons, throwing 18 touchdown passes compared to 10 interceptions and posting a passer rating of 82.8. He has a career passer rating of 78.2, so signing him is not something Jets fans would be excited about.
