Josh McDaniels ‘very happy’ to have stayed with Patriots
New England Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels spoke publicly for the first time since backing out of the Indianapolis Colts coaching job, and he doesn’t sound like he has any regrets.
McDaniels reaffirmed that he wants to be an NFL head coach again, but he didn’t sound like he had any regrets about turning down Indianapolis.

It certainly doesn’t seem like McDaniels thinks he made the huge mistake he was being warned about. That said, he hasn’t tried to get another head coaching job yet. We’ll see if the saga with the Colts, where he took the job and then backed out just before formalizing it, proves a hindrance next time he finds an opportunity he likes.
