Washington Redskins cornerback Josh Norman is fed up with the team’s home fans.
After the team’s 16-3 road win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Norman was asked if he felt the team played better on the road. Norman agreed, stating that the team’s hardcore fans travel with them and it helps.
The cornerback went further, launching into a set of unprompted criticisms against the home fans. Norman felt that the home crowds at FedEx Field “don’t really care” and “boo everything.”

This has been an ongoing subplot all season. As early as the home opener, Washington players were voicing their dissatisfaction with lackluster crowd support and attendance. The numbers actually somewhat back Norman’s assertions. Washington is now 3-1 on the road but 3-2 at home, which isn’t bad, but those home losses account for two of their three defeats on the season.
