New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman returned to practice on Wednesday after leaving Tuesday with an injury.
Edelman, who walked off under his own power Tuesday after being examined by trainers, was spotted warming up and did not appear to be limping.

What apparently turned out to be a minor ailment gave Patriots fans a major scare, as Edelman reportedly looked furious on Tuesday while the training staff looked at his surgically-repaired left foot. Fortunately it was nothing serious.
The Patriots have already lost one key player to an injury this preseason, and they can’t afford to lose Edelman for any extended period of time — especially with Tom Brady missing the first four games. The fact that Edelman was back on the field Wednesday is a great sign.
