Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones is set to miss his second consecutive game with a foot injury.
The team announced on Friday that Jones will not play against the San Francisco 49ers Sunday, which is no surprise considering the All-Pro has not practiced this week. Jones has been dealing with what some call turf toe, but Falcons coach Dan Quinn said it is more of a sprain.
Unfortunately for people in the fantasy football playoffs, the Falcons have had no reason to rush Jones back. They didn’t need him to demolish the Los Angeles Rams last weekend, and they likely won’t need him against the 1-12 San Francisco 49ers at home.
Jones could return for an important game against the Carolina Panthers in Week 16.
