Kellen Winslow to work out for Packers
Kellen Winslow has not played in the NFL since 2013, but that does not mean he has given up hopes of playing in the league once again.
Winslow has been tweeting about making an NFL comeback, and the tight end will be getting his first crack at joining an NFL team when he works out for the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport reported the news:
This is interesting… FA TE Kellen Winslow II is working out for the #Packers tomorrow, sources say. His first since attempting a comeback

Kellen Winslow II hasn’t recorded a statistic since ’13. But he’s only 33 years old & is on the comeback trail. Now working out for #Packers

Winslow is 33 and as Rapoport mentioned, hasn’t recorded a stat in the NFL since 2013. He spent that season with the Jets, catching 31 passes for 388 yards and two touchdowns. His best season came almost 10 years ago with the Cleveland Browns when he posted 82 catches for 1,106 yards and five touchdowns.
But Winslow has been training like crazy and is determined to get another shot:
With the way I have been training… I could break records.

It’s hard to imagine Winslow seeing some NFL action after not playing the last two seasons, but he should not let that stand in the way of his hopes and determination.
At the very least, if Winslow does crack an NFL roster, we know he should be good for some trash talk like he has always done in the past.
