Report: Khalil Mack will skip minicamp and hold out for new contract
The Oakland Raiders officially have a holdout on their hands.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Raiders have been made aware that defensive end Khalil Mack won’t be at the team’s mandatory minicamp as he seeks a new contract.
The #Raiders are not expecting star DE Khalil Mack for mandatory minicamp this week, sources say. That makes him an official holdout as he seeks a lucrative contract extension. A strong stance for the player who has averaged 12 sacks over the past 3 seasons.

Mack is currently on the last season of his rookie deal, but is seeking a new contract. The team has known for a while that Mack was dissatisfied with his deal and were eager to negotiate, but nothing has come of that. It’s not clear if Mack’s decision to skip mandatory workouts will come as a surprise to the organization, but it’s certainly an issue they need to address.
