Kyler Murray combine measurements boost draft stock further
Kyler Murray finally had his measurements taken at the NFL Scouting Combine on Thursday, and many are predicting he could be the first overall pick in the draft given how well it went.
Murray has been listed at 5-foot-10, but skeptics believed he was actually an inch or two shorter than that. All of those skeptics were wrong. Murray’s height and other measurements were taken in front of representatives from 32 NFL teams on Thursday, and he actually came in at a tick over 5-foot-10. He also weighed in at 207 pounds after having previously been listed at 195.
Here it is. The #NFLCombine measurement that so many have been waiting for.#Oklahoma QB Kyler Murray
Height: 5-10 1/8
Weight: 207
Hand: 9 4/8
Arm: 28 4/8
Wingspan: 69 4/8— Charles Robinson (@CharlesRobinson) February 28, 2019
For reference, Russell Wilson measured at 5-foot-10 5/8, so Murray is only half-an-inch shorter. He’s three pounds heavier than Wilson, and the Seattle Seahawks quarterback has slightly larger hands.
Kyler Murray combine measurements (2019):
Height: 5'10” 1/8
Weight: 207 pounds
Hand: 9” 4/8
Arm: 28” 4/8Russell Wilson combine measurements (2012):
Height: 5'10" 6/8
Weight: 204 pounds

Simply put, the measurements should end much of the talk about Murray slipping down the draft board because of his size. Some teams might shy away because of it, but Wilson’s success says it all.
Murray’s stock has been climbing by the day, and that’s probably why he has made a somewhat controversial decision about the Combine. Now that NFL teams have proof he is roughly the same size as a six-time Pro Bowl quarterback, there’s an even better chance Murray will the first QB to hear his name called in the draft.
