Lamar Jackson apologizes after posting video of himself speeding
Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson issued an apology Wednesday for posting a rather reckless Instagram video.
In the video, originally posted to Jackson’s Instagram story and archived by TMZ, Jackson is apparently recording himself while driving. The speedometer on his car is near 105 MPH, and his seatbelt light is flashing, indicating that he was driving without wearing one.
Obviously, driving in such a manner is reckless, dangerous, and illegal. Jackson apologized and said he’d made a “bad decision.”
I made a bad decision and will set a better example going forward. #Myapologies

This is not the first time a professional athlete has posted a photo of themselves driving recklessly to social media without seemingly recognizing the problem. Jackson is unlikely to face any real consequences for his actions, but hopefully the outcry will be enough to ensure that it doesn’t happen again either on- or off-camera.
