Johnson had two years left on his current deal, but they were for a low base salary. This will enable him to get more consistent cash.
Johnson has been one of the best right tackles in the league and is currently graded by Pro Football Focus as the No. 2 right tackle. He has started in 10 games this season but missed Week 12 due to a concussion. He is set to return on Sunday.
