Laremy Tunsil ‘not worried’ about bong video
Laremy Tunsil is looking to move on from the infamous bong video that resulted in him slipping in the draft.
Minutes before the 2016 NFL Draft began, a video was released through Tunsil’s Twitter account which showed him smoking out of a gas mask bong. The confusion over the video resulted in teams being scared off from drafting the former Ole Miss offensive lineman until the Dolphins decided to take him at No. 13. As if that weren’t enough, then text message conversations between Tunsil and Ole Miss staffers that showed the two talking about breaking rules through impermissible benefits were released through his Instagram account.
It was a messy night for Tunsil to say the least, but he is moving past that and not worried about it affecting his reputation.
“I’m not worried about that,” Tunsil said via the Palm Beach Post. “Everyone has their own opinion. I’m the only one who knows my true character.
“I just like to be positive any kind of way. I’m a laid back guy — hard worker, put everything on the line for the team.”
It’s a good attitude for Tunsil to have and it’s not an easy one. He just went through an awful experience and could be very distrusting of people in general and the media as a whole. He would have a total right to be angry. But instead he’s not too worried and he’s confident people will see his true character in the end. That’s the sign of someone who can bounce back from such an awful ordeal.
