Larry Fitzgerald: My dad doesn’t speak for me with ‘inflammatory comments’
Larry Fitzgerald’s family has a tendency to make his life more difficult by spouting off on social media. The most recent example of that was his father, Larry Fitzgerald Sr., complaining on Twitter that his son wasn’t a big enough part of the game plan on Monday night against the San Diego Chargers.
Considering the Arizona Cardinals won, none of that is supposed to matter to the younger Fitzgerald. And even if it did, he wouldn’t admit it after a great come-from-behind win. Here’s Fitzy’s response to his dad’s rant:
My fathers inflammatory comments dont reflect my feelings or mood. We're 1-0 & working tirelessly to be 2-0 this week thats my only concern.

Fitzgerald’s father also blasted the Cardinals for quitting a couple of years ago, which had to have created some awkwardness for the Cards wide receiver. And then there was that time his brother called out Kurt Warner.
As we mentioned before, it’s obvious the Cardinals are looking to move to Michael Floyd as their No. 1 option in the passing game. They’re not going to pay Fitzgerald over $20 million next season, so no one would be surprised if his production drops this season. That said, he’s still Larry Fitzgerald. He’ll get his looks.
