Le’Veon Bell does not regret sitting out season

Le'Veon Bell

Le’Veon Bell is officially a member of the New York Jets and pointing to a chest tattoo that says “no ragrets.”

Bell was introduced to the media on Thursday after signing a new contract with the Jets. He’ll be set to play football in the fall after declining to play last season when the Pittsburgh Steelers franchise tagged him for the second year in a row.

Bell’s decision not to play was a major subject of discussion throughout the year, and it culminates in him getting his new deal. He said Thursday he has no regrets about sitting out the year.

Though Bell will not be able to recoup the $14.5 million he missed out on earning last season, he gets something else he coveted: security.

Bell wanted to make sure he had a certain amount of money guaranteed to him upon stepping onto the field. The Steelers were not giving him the kind of guarantee he was seeking, but he got what he wanted from the Jets.
