Le’Veon Bell will not play for the New York Jets in their Week 14 game on Sunday against the Miami Dolphins.
Bell missed practice on Thursday and Friday due to illness. The Jets shared on Saturday that the running back had been downgraded from questionable to out for the game.
The Jets enter the game 4-8 and Bell has played in all 12 games this season.
Bell has had a disappointing season for the Jets. He has not topped 70 rushing yards in a game the entire season, and he has scored just four touchdowns. The Jets’ lack of offensive weapons and absence of Sam Darnold for part of the season are factors in Bell’s disappointing year, but the Jets were no doubt looking for more.
