Lions cornerback dismisses Aaron Rodgers injury: ‘F— Aaron Rodgers’
The broken collarbone of Green Bay Packers star quarterback Aaron Rodgers obviously has some major implications for how the NFC North will shake out, but Detroit Lions cornerback Nevin Lawson frankly doesn’t care.
Lawson was asked about Rodgers’ injury after his team lost to the New Orleans Saints on Sunday and dismissed it entirely.
“We just played a game,” said Lawson, per Kyle Meinke of MLive. “I ain’t worried about no damn Aaron Rodgers. F— Aaron Rodgers.”
Rodgers was injured early on in Sunday’s game against Minnesota on a hit by Vikings linebacker Anthony Barr. The two-time MVP had to be carted to the locker room and subsequent word that emerged about his condition definitely was not encouraging. Here is video of the play where Rodgers was hurt:

As for Lawson, his team was fresh off giving up 52 points in a double-digit loss to New Orleans, so his response is at least somewhat defensible. But the Lions, who are now one game out of the division lead and play the Packers in Week 9, will definitely have to consider the fallout of Rodgers’ injury at some point.
