Lions reportedly fear Eric Ebron suffered Achilles injury in practice
The Detroit Lions may be facing a significant hurdle after tight end Eric Ebron went down with what appeared to be a significant leg injury in Saturday’s practice.
Ebron was hurt during an open practice at Ford Field and had to be carted off.

It was unclear what the injury was, and the Lions declined to give specifics. However, NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport hears that the injury may be a devastating one.
The early word on #Lions TE Eric Ebron getting carted off is that he suffered an Achilles injury, I’m told. Could be devastating.

Ebron, for his part, seemed to downplay the severity of the injury on Twitter.
The Fans Were Great Today!! We Appreciate You Guys.

Losing Ebron for an extended period of time would be a massive blow to the Lions. He had been having a good camp, and was looking at a big role after Matthew Stafford’s number one target walked away earlier in the summer. The team will definitely be holding their breath and fearing the worst.
