Raiders owner Mark Davis toured UNLV stadium
Add some more fuel to the fire that is the Raiders to Vegas rumors.
In a pair of photos posted Friday to the Las Vegas Sands Twitter account on Friday, Raiders owner Mark Davis was shown touring the UNLV’s football stadium with UNLV president Len Jessup, adviser Don Snyder, athletic director Tina Kunzer-Murphy, and football coach Tony Sanchez.

According to the Mike Newcomb, executive director of UNLV’s Sam Boyd Stadium, Davis was evaluating whether it would be a possible place to play future Raiders games.
“They’re really excited about Las Vegas,” Newcomb said of the Raiders, via Steve Carp of the Las Vegas Review-Journal. “Mr. Davis had never been to Sam Boyd before, and I think he was surprised and excited about how nice it was.
“The main thing was to see everything,” Newcomb said. “I know Mr. Davis is interested in Las Vegas, and if we can accommodate him, we would love to be able to help.”
Las Vegas is rapidly becoming viewed as the most likely destination for the Raiders. They’re locked into a very expensive one-year lease in Oakland for 2016, but nothing beyond that. Most notably, Roger Goodell doesn’t outright oppose the concept of an NFL team in Vegas. It may only be a matter of time.
