Mark Ingram expected to play against Titans despite calf injury

Baltimore Ravens running back Mark Ingram missed practice early in the week and was limited on Thursday as he continues to work his way back from a calf injury, but he is expected to suit up against the Tennessee Titans.

Ingram is planning to play on Saturday, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports.

The initial fear when Ingram went down in Week 16 was that he had torn his Achilles, as the injury was of the non-contact variety. He was only diagnosed with a calf strain, however. Ingram reportedly felt some tightness in practice last week and had to take time off, but it appears the rest was beneficial.

Ingram rushed for 1,018 yards and scored 15 total touchdowns during the regular season. He has been an extremely important part of the Ravens’ offense alongside Lamar Jackson.
