Mark Ingram tweets about Browns’ request to interview Ravens OC Greg Roman
The Cleveland Browns are once again searching for a new head coach following a disastrous lone season under Freddie Kitchens, and a member of a division rival’s coaching staff is one candidate they are considering. Mark Ingram finds saw that news and addressed it.
The Browns have reportedly requested permission to interview Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator Greg Roman. In response to that news, Ingram sent a tweet saying “FAIL” along with an emoji.

It’s unclear exactly what Ingram is referring to, though the word “fail” could be used to describe plenty of things about the Browns right now. Their 2019 season was a failure, as was their decision to promote Kitchens from offensive coordinator to head coach. Perhaps Ingram feels they should have have hired Roman last year. Or maybe Ingram would just not want to lose Roman to Cleveland.
Roman has yet to get a head coaching opportunity in the NFL, but the work he has done with Lamar Jackson and Baltimore’s offense this season could make him a hot candidate this offseason. There have already been indications that top candidates on the coaching market may shy away from interviewing with Cleveland, and it’s possible Roman will turn them down as well.
