Marvin Lewis fires back at reporter for asking about Vontaze Burfict’s health
Cincinnati Bengals coach Marvin Lewis seemed to grow a bit frustrated Sunday when questioned about the health of linebacker Vontaze Burfict.
Burfict suffered his seventh NFL concussion on Sunday, an incredibly worrisome number given the dangers of head injuries. Jay Morrison of The Athletic asked an entirely reasonable question about whether Lewis had any long-term concerns about Burfict given the high number of concussions, but Lewis didn’t seem to be having it.
Asked Marvin if he's concerned about Burfict's future after 7th concussion, the most recent 2 of which came in a three-week span. His response: "You're not a doctor."#Bengals

You can understand that Lewis would have some frustration. After a 4-1 start to the season, his team is 2-8 since. There are rumors that he will walk away from the job when the season is over. Still, concerns about Burfict’s long-term health given the frequency of his concussions should only be natural.
