Marvin Lewis defends Tyler Eifert against injury-prone label
Amidst worries that Pro Bowl tight end Tyler Eifert is injury prone, Cincinnati Bengals coach Marvin Lewis isn’t having it.
Lewis said the Bengals are simply being cautious with Eifert, who is dealing with a back injury.
“Some guys can go through a bad run of luck,” Lewis said, via Paul Dehner Jr. of the Cincinnati Enquirer. “I think Tyler, unfortunately, he’s had a bad run of luck. There’s nobody who’s as conscientious about his body, as conscientious about being a pro.
“Unfortunately he’s had some injuries that have kept him out of playing but he’ll overcome them.”
Eifert recently had a setback that has impacted his recovery time. Fans will want to see him get healthy and stay healthy before all these concerns are diminished.
