Matt Barkley does not care for Adam Schefter’s commentary about his contract
If this whole football thing doesn’t work out for Matt Barkley, the kid could have a future in sports blogging. Why? Because he has the whole snarky act down perfectly.
ESPN NFL reporter Adam Schefter tweeted on Thursday that Barkley signed a four-year contract with the Philadelphia Eagles. But Schefter’s tweet included more than just the news. Schefter also added some commentary about how Barkley signed for much less money as a fourth-round pick than he would have made had he left school following his junior season when he was projected to be a first-rounder.
Eagles signed QB Matt Barkley to a four-year contract that doesn't look much like deal he would have signed one year ago.

Barkley has probably been constantly reminded about what a mistake he made by returning to USC for his senior season. He thanked Schefter for pointing out the obvious.
@AdamSchefter yeah, because my signature has changed. Duhhhh #thanksforthecommentaryAdam

Barkley already stated after the draft that he plans to make teams pay for passing on him. Tweets like this make it more obvious that he is entering the league with a chip on his shoulder, which is probably a good thing.
And for those keeping score at home, this is not the first time Barkley has taken a shot at an ESPN person’s commentary. Remember what he did in March?
