Michael Crabtree on Colin Kaepernick, protests: ‘I ain’t no Martin Luther King’

michael-crabtree

Michael Crabtree has chosen not to take part in any national anthem protests or political displays before games this year, and the Oakland Raiders receiver has a very straightforward reason for that.

After Sunday’s 17-10 win over the Tennessee Titans, Crabtree was asked for his thoughts on Colin Kaepernick and the protests that are gaining popularity across the NFL.

While Kaepernick’s protest is unrelated to football, it should be noted that Crabtree never really seemed to get along with his former teammate. He was critical of Kaepernick after he left the 49ers and even had some complaints while the two were still playing together.

Plenty of players have chosen to not take part in the protests while others are urging people like Crabtree to get involved. In this particular instance, it seems like Crabtree has no interest in supporting Kaepernick or his cause.
