Report reveals Mike Evans’ status for Week 12 against Giants
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have dealt with numerous significant injuries on the offensive side of the ball this season, but one of their best playmakers is reportedly close to making his return.
Mike Evans has practiced this week and is planning to play on Sunday against the New York Giants, according to Jordan Schultz of FOX Sports. Evans has been out since he suffered a hamstring injury in Week 7.

Evans had been dealing with a hamstring injury leading up to Tampa Bay’s Week 7 game against the Baltimore Ravens. He battled through it to catch a touchdown pass and nearly hauled in a second before he was dragged to the ground by a defender. The five-time Pro Bowl wideout immediately grabbed at his right leg and was in significant pain.
Chris Godwin suffered a gruesome season-ending ankle injury in the same game, which has left the Bucs extremely shorthanded at wide receiver.
Evans has 335 yards receiving this season, leaving him 665 short of 1,000. With seven games left in the season, Evans would need to remain healthy and dominate defenses in order to keep one of the most impressive streaks in NFL history alive.
