DeMarco Murray will be the Tennessee Titans’ starting running back this season, but we should still be getting a healthy dose of Heisman winner Derrick Henry as well.
Titans head coach Mike Mularkey said on Wednesday that, though he is behind Murray on the depth chart, the team will find ways to get Henry on the field, per Terry McCormick of TitanInsider.
Mularkey said #Titans will find ways to get Derrick Henry on the field, even though DeMarco Murray is still the starter.

The 22-year-old Henry is a versatile, physical runner perfect for short-yardage situations, so he should have no trouble making the most of the touches he gets. Still, the Titans may have to get creative with Henry in a backup capacity since he doesn’t really catch passes (just 16 total receptions in his three years at Alabama) and struggles in pass protection. Murray is the more evasive rusher, while Dexter McCluster is the stronger passing-down back. But regardless, Henry has more than enough talent to carve out a consistent niche.
Either way, hopefully Henry’s role with the Titans in 2016 is clearer than his jersey number.
