Raiders sign Nathan Peterman to future contract
Nathan Peterman’s play with the Buffalo Bills seemed to show that he is not a viable NFL quarterback, but the Oakland Raiders are not convinced.
The Raiders have signed Peterman to a reserve-future contract. That means Peterman will be on the Raiders’ active roster when the new league begins in March.
The Raiders originally picked up Peterman on Dec. 19 and added him to their practice squad. Head coach Jon Gruden had long been a fan of Peterman.
Peterman was a 5th-round pick by the Bills in 2017 and was finally waived by them in early November after playing so poorly. He has played in 8 games over two seasons, throwing for 3 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.
