Nevada senate votes to approve stadium deal
The Oakland Raiders are even closer to a potential move to Las Vegas.
The Nevada state senate passed a stadium deal during a vote at the state capitol on Tuesday. The deal passed by a vote of 16-5.
Supporters of the deal spoke on behalf of the project Monday, while opponents had their chance to speak Tuesday. Opponents cited the tax increases and use of tax payer money as a major reason to stand against the deal.

The stadium deal now goes to the state assembly for a vote on Thursday.
If the state of Nevada votes to build a stadium, the Raiders have said they will move there.
