NFL fans all said the same thing about the latest Pro Bowl change

The NFL has made yet another change to the Pro Bowl, and fans were not exactly overcome with emotion when they learned of the big news.

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell announced on Wednesday that the Pro Bowl Games will be moved to the week of the Super Bowl beginning this season. Both the skills competition and the flag football game, which is the main event, will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 3.

Super Bowl LX will be held at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., on Sunday, Feb. 8. The 2026 Pro Bowl Games will also be played in the Bay Area and are now in a primetime spot days before the NFL’s championship game.

The hope for the NFL is that fans who travel to the Super Bowl will be in the area early to take in the Pro Bowl festivities. Judging by the reaction from fans, however, it does not sound like there will be many people itching to do that.

Okay cool so the Pro Bowl somehow might have become even more irrelevant than it already was…

The current Pro Bowl format was introduced in 2023, with players taking part in the “Pro Bowl Skills Show” before playing in a 7-on-7 flag football game. Peyton and Eli Manning are the captains of the two teams, with Eli having won all three matchups.

Those who have no interest in the Pro Bowl probably are not going to watch now just because it is being played closer to the Super Bowl. Fans who attend the Super Bowl and are looking for something to do in the days before may check out the Pro Bowl Games, which in itself could be worth it for the NFL.
