NFL Network analyst says Eagles should ‘put a little bounty’ on Ezekiel Elliott
The NFL probably won’t be thrilled with one of its own analysts calling for the Philadelphia Eagles to put a bounty on Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott.
Brian Baldinger, an NFL Network analyst and former Eagles offensive lineman, told 97.5 The Fanatic that the Eagles need to take Elliott, the star rookie back, out of the game.
“This is the guy that that we’ve got to hurt,” Baldinger said, via Michael David Smith of ProFootballTalk. “This is the guy that we’ve got to take out of the game. There’s got to be 10 guys that want to hurt him every single play. In fact, we may even put a little bounty on Ezekiel Elliott.
“You want to cut off the head to kill the body, that’s the guy you’ve got to get to.”
It was pretty clear that Baldinger’s grudge with Elliott was rather personal, as he accused him of “arrogance” based on his NFL Draft outfit. It is almost certainly not a sentiment that anyone associated with the Eagles would echo, and definitely not something the NFL will be pleased with.
