Nick Bosa makes funny comparison between Brock Purdy, Scottie Scheffler
San Francisco 49ers star Nick Bosa sees some similarities between his quarterback and the best golfer in the world, but Bosa made sure to note that there is one key difference as well.
Bosa spoke with reporters on Tuesday about Brock Purdy and how the quarterback is in line to become one of the highest-paid players in NFL history. Bosa said he does not think money will change Purdy and compared the former Iowa State star to Scottie Scheffler.
Bosa said Purdy is a “man of faith” and humble like Scheffler. Only, Purdy has never been arrested.
“I don’t think he’s ever going to change, even when he gets paid next year. He’s a man of faith,” Bosa said. “He kind of reminds me of Scottie Scheffler, except he didn’t get arrested. He’s just super humble and a really good kid. Yeah, he’s definitely famous.”

In case you somehow missed it, Scheffler was arrested before the second round of the PGA Championship on Friday in a wildly unexpected turn of events. No one ever envisioned that happening, so Bosa should be careful not to jinx his teammate.
Purdy is entering his third season with the 49ers. He threw for 4,280 yards, 31 touchdowns and 11 interceptions last season while leading San Francisco to the Super Bowl. He is eligible for a contract extension next offseason.
