Los Angeles Rams cornerback Nickell Robey-Coleman had a very noteworthy and expensive final two games of the season.
Robey-Coleman was fined for an illegal hit on on New England Patriots running back Rex Burkhead in Super Bowl LIII, having been fined for the same reason in the NFC Championship.
For the second straight game, #Rams CB Nickell Robey-Coleman was fined $26,739 for a hit on a defenseless player — this time Rex Burkhead in the Super Bowl LIII loss to the #Patriots.
And yes, Robey-Coleman was flagged for this one.

Robey-Coleman was fined for this hit on Burkhead, which was flagged. Many watching live found the flag to be overzealous, but judging from the fact that he was fined by the league, it would seem they have no regrets on that front.
The Rams’ defensive back was hit with the same fine for his illegal hit in the NFC Championship, which was infamously not flagged. Robey-Coleman, it seems, couldn’t get away with it twice.
