Odell Beckham Jr. was carted off the field on Sunday during the New York Giants’ game against the Los Angeles Chargers after injuring his left ankle while trying to make a catch.
Beckham ran a slant route on a second down play with his Giants leading 22-20 and leaped for the pass. As he came down, his ankle was bent awkwardly underneath him. He was in obvious pain and appeared to be crying as he was carted off the field.

Beckham had five catches for 97 yards and a touchdown before leaving the game. On the following play, Eli Manning lost a fumble, giving the Chargers the ball in the red zone.
Beckham’s injury continued a brutal day of injuries for Giants receivers. Dwayne Harris left the game with a fractured foot, while Brandon Marshall and Sterling Shepard were also marked out for the rest of the game with ankle injuries. That left the Giants with one healthy receiver — Roger Lewis.
