The Green Bay Packers were left holding their breath after veteran offensive tackle David Bakhtiari was carted off during a scrimmage game with a lower leg injury on Saturday, but fortunately it sounds like the team has received good news.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that Bakhtiari has been diagnosed with only an ankle sprain.
#Packers LT David Bakhtiari, carted away from practice last night with his shoe off, suffered just a sprained left ankle, source said. He’ll miss some practice time, but it doesn’t sound too serious.

As Green Bay’s left tackle, Bakhtiari has the all-important task of protecting Aaron Rodgers’ blind side. McCarthy confirmed on Saturday that the 26-year-old was dealing with an ankle injury, but the severity was unknown at the time. The Packers will likely play it safe with him going forward, but it doesn’t sound like Bakhtiari is in danger of missing any regular season time.
