Packers OT Jared Veldheer found out via TV that he would have to play against Seattle

Jared Veldheer went through quite the roller coaster of emotions on Sunday.
The Green Bay Packers veteran got the start at right tackle in the team’s divisional round game against the Seattle Seahawks with fellow offensive lineman Bryan Bulaga battling an illness. Bulaga was a late addition to the injury report on Sunday, and Veldheer told reporters after the game that he found out that Bulaga was sick while watching television.
Jared Veldheer said he found out #Packers RT Bryan Bulaga was sick while watching pregame of Chiefs-Texans. That's right, after spending entire week on scout team, Veldheer found out he'd gone from playing no snaps to playing every snap … on TV.

Veldheer appeared in just two games for the Packers all season for a total of 35 offensive snaps, so he had a lot of responsibility suddenly thrust upon him. He responded well though as Green Bay’s offensive line allowed only two sacks of quarterback Aaron Rodgers in their eventual 28-23 victory.
With how ripped Veldheer has looked throughout his career, it likely comes as no surprise that he was ready for action on Sunday at a moment’s notice.
