Patrick Mahomes wasted no time sharing his thoughts for Alex Smith after seeing his mentor get injured on Sunday.
Mahomes, whose Kansas City Chiefs play on Monday night against the Los Angeles Rams, saw what happened to Smith and sent a tweet supporting the Washington QB:

Smith suffered a lower leg injury in the third quarter of Washington’s game against Houston and had to be carted off the field.
Mahomes was drafted by the Chiefs last year and served as Smith’s backup the entire season. Kansas City traded Smith to Washington this offseason and handed things over to Mahomes, who still has high regard for his former teammate.
