Report: Patriots among teams that have done serious research on Jordan Love
Jordan Love could stand to benefit the most if three teams in the top six picks of the NFL Draft take quarterbacks, as that will give the former Utah State star a much better chance of going in the first round. One thing that seems certain is that Love is drawing plenty of interest ahead of Thursday.
ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported on Sunday that several teams have done extensive research on Love, and at least two of those teams have an opening at starting quarterback. One is the Miami Dolphins, who have three picks in the first round, and another is the New England Patriots.

– #Saints (No. 24)
– #Packers (No. 30)
– #Dolphins (5, 18, 26, 39)
– #Panthers (No. 7 & 38)

The Dolphins seem likely to take either Tua Tagovailoa or Justin Herbert at No. 5 overall, so the Patriots may be the most intriguing suitor for Love. While Love doesn’t have the body of work that some of the bigger QB names in the draft have, teams love his physical traits and many view him as a fit for New England.
Even if second-year quarterback Jarrett Stidham is the favorite to land the starting job in New England, it seems like a guarantee that the Patriots are going to use a draft pick on a quarterback. The question is how much they want to invest, and we have already heard rumors of them making a huge splash or going with someone very few people know. Love would qualify as something in between.
