Report: Patriots executive considered front-runner for Texans’ GM job
There is reportedly already a front-runner for the vacant Houston Texans general manager position, and it’s someone with ties to coach Bill O’Brien.
According to Mark Berman of FOX 26, New England Patriots director of player personnel Nick Caserio is regarded as the leading candidate for the Texans’ job, though the team is continuing to interview candidates.
Nick Caserio, the Patriots director of player personnel, is believed to be the leading candidate to become the next general manager of the #Texans, who are in the midst of the interview process.

Caserio had been named as a potential Texans target early on in the process. He has been the director of player personnel since 2008, and served as director of pro personnel prior to that. In both roles, his tenure overlapped with that of O’Brien, who served on the New England coaching staff from 2007 through 2011.
