Patriots fans file lawsuit to get Deflategate draft picks back
A group of New England Patriots fans are taking matters into their own hands when it comes to helping their favorite team. They have even filed a lawsuit against the NFL, Commissioner Roger Goodell, and even team owner Robert Kraft, over the penalties from Deflategate.
“This case is brought by New England Patriots fans on behalf of all Patriots fans who believe the New England Patriots professional football team were harmed by the Defendants’ arbitrary and capricious decision to revoke the Patriots first round draft choice in the April 28, 2016 NFL Draft,” the suit, which was filed in a Massachusetts district court on Tuesday, says.
Seven fans are named as parties for the suit. They hail from Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Jersey and Florida. One claims to be a season ticket holder and says his daughter no longer wants to attend games because of the Deflategate ordeal. She supposedly thinks games are “fixed.”
The fans go into a lengthy breakdown of the Deflategate scandal, mentioning PSIs, dissemenation of information, leaks, and the Wells Report. They believe the NFL’s behavior violates the Massachusetts Consumer Protection Act. They are seeking to have the Patriots’ first-round draft pick this season and 4th-round pick next season returned because without them, the Pats will have suffered irreparable harm.

Patriots fans, man. They’re so crazy they’re willing to get arrested and now file lawsuits just to help their team. God bless them. And we all know that Del had a part in this, too.
