Patriots fans want team to raise Super Bowl banner when Tom Brady returns
No suspension, loss of draft picks, or fine from the NFL can stop the New England Patriots from raising their fourth Super Bowl championship banner at the start of the 2015 season. The fans, however, could convince the team to wait until Week 5.
Since Tom Brady’s four-game suspension was announced on Monday, Patriots fans have taken to social media using the hashtag #NoBradyNoBanner. Teams who win the Super Bowl typically have a ceremony and raise their banner before their first home game. For the Patriots, that would be the NFL season opener against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 1.
Not surprisingly, Pats nation doesn’t want a banner raised if the Super Bowl MVP isn’t there to enjoy it.

The fans might get their wish. The Patriots showed they are going to support Brady by changing their Twitter and Facebook avatars to a photo of his jersey on Tuesday. I doubt the team wants to hold its Super Bowl championship ceremony without Brady. I’d be surprised if they don’t wait until he is reinstated.
