The New England Patriots expect to have Tom Brady around for some time yet.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Patriots see Brady playing for another three to five years, which would take him well into his early 40s.

In their long-term planning, #Patriots believe QB Tom Brady will play 3-5 more years, sources say. That's why trading Jimmy G is possible.

Why not? As long as Brady continues to perform at a high level, there’s no real reason for him to step aside unless he wants to spend more time with his family. He has no significant injury history, though he’s dealt with some nagging issues that appear to be manageable.

Expect there to be a lot of interest in Garoppolo. If the Patriots are willing to move him, it means the Patriots have a lot of confidence in Brady remaining healthy and effective in the short term.
