Alec Ogletree has been one of the anchors of the Los Angeles Rams’ defense for the past several seasons, and the New York Giants are hoping he can play the same role for them in 2018.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Wednesday that the Rams have traded Ogletree to the Giants in exchange for two picks in the upcoming NFL Draft and one in 2019.

Ogletree has been one of the best tacklers in football since the Rams drafted him in the first round back in 2013. He recorded 95 combined tackles, two sacks, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery and an interception during L.A.’s surprisingly solid season in 2017.
With the Rams having used the franchise tag on defensive back Lamarcus Joyner this week, they were likely looking to cut some salary. Ogeltree was scheduled to make $10 million in 2018.
