Ravens remind Seahawks Johnny Hekker also threw cheap shot at them
Rams punter Johnny Hekker threw a cheap shot at Seahawks linebacker Cliff Avril during Sunday’s game, and there is at least one other NFL team that was not surprised to see it.
On Monday, the Ravens’ official Twitter account reminded everyone that Hekker did something similar to a Baltimore player earlier this season.

Several Seattle players blasted Hekker after his hit on Avril, and deservedly so. He could try to argue that he had a lapse in judgment on Sunday, but he needs to be careful if this has become a pattern. Not only could he be fined by the NFL, but a punter doesn’t want 260-pound linebackers taking aim at him to get even. Cowering like Hekker did on Sunday (video here) won’t always work.
