Montgomery carried five times on the Packers’ opening drive, which resulted in a touchdown.
CBS’ Tracy Wolfson says the Packers would not confirm Rapoport’s report, though they did say Montgomery would not return to the game. Analyst Tony Romo explained that the Packers wouldn’t want anyone to know about broken ribs so that future opponents couldn’t target the injury.
Montgomery entered Thursday’s game with 124 rushing yards and 129 receiving yards on the season.
