The Los Angeles Rams traded several draft picks to the Tennessee Titans this week to acquire the No. 1 overall pick in the upcoming draft. Now, the only thing the Rams can hope for is that the deal doesn’t end up being a disaster like a similar one the Washington Redskins made several years ago.
Ironically, it was the Rams who received three first-round picks and a second-round pick from the Redskins in 2012. Washington then took Robert Griffin III with the No. 2 overall pick. On Thursday, the Redskins sent a timely tweet after the Rams and Titans announced their deal.

There are a lot of things that could mean, such as “what have you done,” “be careful,” “oh boy,” and much, much more.
As we know, the Redskins ended up releasing RG3 this offseason. With the exception of a successful rookie season in which he led the team to the playoffs, Griffin was basically a bust in the nation’s capital. And because of the trade, the Redskins ended up without a first-round pick in back-to-back drafts.
The Rams can only hope either Carson Wentz or Jared Goff is a better investment. If not, the team will wish it buried the news of the trade underneath this NBA superstar’s big night.
