Odell Beckham Jr. has showed good faith by showing up to team workouts this offseason and not holding out for a new contract, and it sounds as though his approach is about to be handsomely rewarded.
Ian Rapoport and Kimberly Jones of NFL Network report that Beckham and the New York Giants are close to finalizing a five-year extension that would make Beckham the highest-paid wide receiver in football.
The #Giants and star WR Odell Beckham Jr are closing in on a 5-year, mega-extension that will make him the highest paid receiver in the NFL, sources tell me and @KimJonesSports. Well-deserved. Should be done soon.

Beckham is currently in the final year of his rookie contract with the Giants, and he is set to make $8.45 million in 2018. A record-breaking deal would put him in the range of about $17 million annually, which is what Antonio Brown currently makes with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
There were reports that the Giants wanted to wait to see if Beckham was focused and healthy enough before they commit huge money to him, and they have apparently liked what they’ve seen. Beckham is looking to bounce back in 2018 after an ankle injury limited him to just four games last season.
