The New York Giants seem like they are in need of backfield help after they released veteran running back Rashad Jennings, and there has been some speculation that they could kick the tires on Adrian Peterson. According to one reporter, there’s no chance of that happening.
Gary Meyers of the New York Daily News wrote over the weekend that the Giants “would not go near” Peterson after the public relations nightmare that was the Josh Brown domestic violence situation. Peterson, of course, was suspended for most of the 2014 season as a result of disturbing child abuse allegations.
This is not the first time we have heard that the Giants have little to no interest in Peterson. Even if they are looking to add another back, they would probably prefer to address the position in the draft instead of signing a 32-year-old running back who is coming off another significant knee injury.

Like many other teams, Peterson is probably more interested in the Giants than they are in him. The veteran turned some heads a while back with this tweet, but it sounds like he is going to have to look outside of New York for work.
